Computational Development Biology, with Ivo F. Sbalzarini, is opening the new series of ICM (virtual) seminars on significant developments and problems in computer and computational science.

The Virtual ICM Seminar with prof. Sbalzarini will take place on Thursday, October 22, 2020 (4 pm CEST), and is open to all. The lecture is organised by the Interdisciplinary Centre for Mathematical and Computational Modelling (ICM) at the University of Warsaw, Poland.

The seminar is aimed specifically at students and researchers involved in bioinformatics and systems biology, as well as those involved in genetics and genomics, and new methods of discovery critical to those studies: machine learning, numerical simulations and parallel computing, virtual reality (VR) and visualisation in real time for 3D microscopy.

The Virtual ICM Seminars in Computer and Computational Science are a continuation of the Supercomputing Frontiers Europe conference, which took place virtually in March 2020. So far, more than 2,000 people from across the globe have participated in both initiatives. The organiser of these meetings of outstanding scientists is the Interdisciplinary Centre for Mathematical and Computational Modelling at the University of Warsaw, Poland.

OPI PIB has accepted the honorary patronage over the event.

More information about the seminars is available on the ICM website.
