Emil Podwysocki, Head of the Data Warehouse Department, has been appointed open data representative of the Polish Minister of Science and Higher Education.

This prestigious distinction recognises Emil’s competence and commitment to shaping data policy in Poland. As part of his new responsibilities, Emil will be supporting initiatives for the accessibility of public data in the science and higher education sectors.

Open science serves society by ensuring fair and unrestricted access to the latest reliable data. Open science principles have already been embraced by numerous research funding agencies worldwide, including the European Commission. They are also being promoted by international organisations for the development of scientific policies, such as Science Europe and UNESCO.
