On 9 February 2017, the National Information Processing Institute (OPI) and the National Centre for Research and Development (NCBR) entered into an agreement to create and implement the Uniform Anti-plagiarism System. JSA, which is used by all higher education institutions in Poland, offers anti-plagiarism protection, replacing various systems previously in use across public and private universities.

JSA integrates with the Polish Repository of Theses (ORPD), ensuring consistency and completeness of data. The system is based on the open-source model and is available to the public free of charge.

The central anti-plagiarism system is developed in accordance with Art. 38 of the Act of 11 July 2014 on the principles of implementing cohesion policy programs financed in the 2014–2020 financial perspective. The project is of strategic significance for science and higher education. It is overseen and operated by the competent minister.

Subsidies

The Preparation, implementation, and maintenance of the Uniform Anti-plagiarism System project was awarded by means of a noncompetition procedure, under the 2014-2020 Knowledge Education Development operational programme, which is co-funded by the European Social Fund.
