Artificial Intelligence detects illegal clauses in agreements

The National Information Processing Institute (OPI PIB) has claimed first prize at a competition for the development and implementation of a tool that easily and rapidly detects illegal clauses in B2C template agreements.

In autumn 2021, the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection organised a competition whose goal was to create an artificial intelligence tool that significantly improves efficiency in the detection of breaches of consumer law.

The first round of the competition involved the selection of the top five projects; in the second, first prize was awarded to the tool presented by OPI PIB, which received a budget for the tool’s development and implementation.

Subsidies

The project is cofunded by the European Union as part of Artificial Intelligence for Consumer Protection Empowerment.
