Co-organised by the National Information Processing Institute, the MIDI conference serves as an international platform for the exchange of knowledge and expertise in cutting-edge methods, tools, and solutions that support human interaction with intelligent technologies. In 2026, the conference will be held in a hybrid format, offering participants the flexibility to join the event both in person and online free of charge.
The conference focuses on artificial intelligence from a human-centred perspective, recognising people as both users and creators of intelligent systems. Topics of interest include data analytics and deep learning, intelligent decision-making support systems, multimodal interaction, AI-driven user experience design, augmented and virtual reality, as well as security, privacy, and trust in artificial intelligence systems.
Authors may submit their papers via the conference website from 8 June 2026. The submission deadline is 8 October 2026. All papers will be reviewed by at least three independent reviewers as part of the peer-review process. Once their articles are accepted, authors will be invited to create a short video presentation summarising their research.
The conference proceedings will be published by Springer in the Lecture Notes in Networks and Systems series, which is indexed in leading scientific databases, such as Scopus, INSPEC, zbMATH, and SCImago, and is also submitted to the Web of Science. All accepted papers are scheduled for publication in the second half of 2027.
As in previous editions, outstanding contributions will be recognised with the Professor Krzysztof Marasek Best Paper Award in two categories: Machine Intelligence and Digital Interaction.
MIDI 2026 offers an excellent opportunity to present research findings, establish international collaborations, and contribute to discussions on the future of human interaction with intelligent technologies.
