As part of the noncompetitive project Support for HEI offerings concerning the development of adult competences through the NAVOICA platform, which is implemented by the Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education, the National Information Processing Institute (OPI PIB) has been granted funding of PLN 5,928,000.00.
Predicted tasks and actions
The project involves the creation of a minimum of 150 new massive open online courses (MOOCs) to be offered via NAVOICA, with the content tailored to the needs of adult learners who are not part of the traditional university population. Reflecting the demands of the job market and employer expectations, the courses will promote lifelong learning and adaptation to the needs of economic development, as well as contributing to the training of specialists for the green and digital economies. The courses will be designed by higher education institutions in collaboration with employers, socioeconomic partners, and e-learning methodologists, incorporating developmental challenges and the specific needs of regional job markets.
The project’s key components are the organisation and execution of a call for course proposals, the preparation of substantive e-learning content by universities, and the publication of the courses on NAVOICA by OPI PIB.
Target groups
The primary target group of the project is higher education institutions that are not in liquidation. Other beneficiaries include adults who are interested in the courses, including those who are active in the job market.
Objective
The project is intended to support the development of adult competences and to promote lifelong learning. To achieve this objective, higher education institutions will prepare MOOCs and share them for free with the public. The courses will be available on NAVOICA to any number of participants in an asynchronous model.
Outcomes
The project will deliver MOOCs via NAVOICA.
