Responsible development of the PLLuM large language model

The project aims to develop a foundation generative language model for the Polish language. The model will then be utilised to train a general dialogue model. Finally, the model will power a virtual assistant that provides support to citizens who visit public administration institutions.

The main objective of the project called Responsible development of the Polish Large Language Universal Model (PLLuM) ­to support breakthrough technologies in the public and economic sectors, including an open Polish-language intelligent citizen assistant is to train an open large Polish language model according to the principles of responsible AI development and to create a prototypical Polish-language intelligent assistant for citizens visiting public administration institutions.

Data will be collected, processed, and recorded in a responsible manner according to the guidelines of the National Data Excellence Centre. The model is planned to be made available under an open-source license as both an application programming interface (API) and a graphical user interface (GUI), including a prototypical Polish-language intelligent assistant for citizens visiting public administration institutions.
