IT Manager of Tomorrow is one of the most important events for digital transformation leaders in Europe. Finalists are evaluated by a panel of technology experts and practitioners for concrete visions and solutions that are already influencing the way businesses operate.
In his final presentation, Marek shared insights into how OPI PIB is advancing the development of Polish artificial intelligence. He focused on PLLuM—the first large language model adapted to the Polish language and socio-cultural contexts—which he helped develop with his team. He went beyond a conceptual idea and showcased a fully functioning tool that is already supporting business, administration, and the public sector.
Marek’s success would not have been possible without the AI Lab team – an interdisciplinary group of researchers and engineers dedicated to creating technologies of strategic importance for linguistic sovereignty, innovation, and digital accessibility in Poland.
Winning IT Manager of Tomorrow is not only a remarkable personal achievement, but also a significant recognition for OPI PIB.
Marek’s journey does not end here. This year in August, he is set to speak at the Enterprise Tech Leadership Summit w Las Vegas. We are confident he will win over even the most critical audience.
PLLuM was developed by a consortium of institutions, including Wrocław University of Science and Technology (consortium leader), OPI PIB, the Institute of Computer Science of the Polish Academy of Sciences, the Institute of Slavic Studies of the Polish Academy of Sciences, and the University of Lodz. The project is currently developed as part of the HIVE AI consortium, with OPI PIB as one of its partners.
