DC4EU workshops at OPI PIB

News
On June 26–27, OPI PIB held a two-day workshop conducted as part of the DC4EU – Digital Credentials for Europe project. The event attracted nearly eighty participants from various EU member states, representing academia, public administration, and tech companies.

The workshop centred on the European Digital Identity Wallet (EUDI), a core component of the eIDAS 2.0 regulation, designed to enable citizens and institutions to securely exchange verifiable digital credentials, including diplomas, across the European Union.

Our partners from Poland and across the EU explored the following topics:
• issuance, verification and revocation of digital higher education diplomas
• compatibility of digital wallets with the EBSI infrastructure
• collaboration between issuers, verifiers and users domestically and internationally.

As part of pilot testing conducted by Polish higher education institutions, we utilised NASK’s Digital Credential Manager (PoC) to support secure digital credentials management within the EBSI trust ecosystem.

ℹ️ DC4EU is one of four European pilot initiatives that contributes to the implementation of the eIDAS 2.0 regulation, enabling citizens and businesses to use digital identity and credentials quickly, conveniently, and securely across Europe.
