We care about all users

OPI’s systems and applications are geared towards users of various age groups, who have diverse digital abilities and degrees of focus. These users include people who have various types of disability. They work in various conditions and utilise a wide array of devices. We ensure that our systems and applications align with their needs.

Many users have sight, hearing, mobility and attention impairments. Some are burdened with a multitude of tasks, pressed for time, and bombarded with information. Others have neurodiversity issues and disabilities.

OPI’s priority is to ensure full and convenient access to its products for all users. We believe in fostering an environment where everyone has an equal chance to pursue their goals. This is our definition of accessibility.

What drives our commitment to accessibility?

OPI is a public institution. Its activities are financed by public funds. It is legally bound to adhere to the 2.1. AA conformance level of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).

Accessibility means more than regulatory standards. It also entails taking responsibility for efficient and modern higher education, and ensuring conditions that facilitate the advancement and promotion of Polish science.

Ensuring that OPI’s products are accessible to everyone is a core principle of our design approach.
