The opening speech was delivered by Dr Marcin Kulasek, Polish Minister of Science and Higher Education, who stressed the project\u2019s role in the development of a modern state. Dr Jaros\u0142aw Protasiewicz, Head of the National Information Processing Institute, emphasised that the creation of the Polish National Repository of Electronic Diplomas represents a key initiative undertaken in the past few years. He also expressed his gratitude to the Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education, the project leader, for appointing OPI PIB as the partner responsible for the development of the system. Prof. Maria Mr\u00f3wczy\u0144ska, undersecretary of state, highlighted the significance of the project for the digital transformation of higher education and for the advancement of cutting-edge public services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In his presentations, \u0141ukasz B\u0142aszczyk, eDiplomas Project Manager, highlighted the project\u2019s main outcomes, illustrating the path from conceptual design to a completed implementation. He discussed both the scale of the undertaking and the practical aspects of its implementation at HEIs, with particular emphasis on organisational, process-related, and technological readiness. He stressed that the system would become available to all HEIs in Poland from 30 June 2026. From  1 January 2027, electronic diplomas will be introduced as the standard and obligatory method to confirm higher education qualifications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The future of the solution in the context of the European Digital Identity Wallet was discussed by Krzysztof Napora, Deputy Head of the Electronic Identification Department at the Centre for Information Technology, who pointed to its key role in advancing interoperable digital services across the European Union.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Conference participants were also given the opportunity to experience how the systems operates in practice. The OP PIB team delivered a live demonstration in the DEMO area, explaining how the new system can be used easily and securely.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The e\u2011Diplomas: the Polish National Repository of Electronic Diplomas<\/strong> project was conducted between 1 October 2024 and 30 June 2026. The total value of the project amounted to PLN 33.5 million, of which PLN 30.2 million was funded by the EU as part of Poland\u2019s National Recovery and Resilience Plan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We would like to extend our gratitude to all institutions that contributed to the project, including the Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education as leader, as well as partners, higher education institutions and all stakeholders. This collaboration enabled the creation of the system that will fundamentally transform the way higher education credentials are confirmed and verified in Poland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Polish National Repository of Electronic Diplomas will be available from 30 June 2026 at: dyplomy.nauka.gov.pl<\/strong>.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Held on 19 June 2026 at the Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education, the \u2018From Paper to Application\u2019 conference marked the conclusion of the \u2018eDiplomas: the Polish National Repository of Electronic Diplomas\u2019 project.
