The medal is presented in recognition of outstanding contributions to higher education and science, including accomplishments in research, didactics, and organisation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the award ceremony, Przemys\u0142aw Czarnek stressed the laureates&#8217; role in shaping the Polish society and seeking the truth and thanked them for their efforts in attaining these objectives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dr Protasiewicz received the medal in the presence of numerous esteemed Polish scientists and specialists in various disciplines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The <em>Sapientia et Veritas<\/em> medal for meritorious service to the Polish science<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <em>Sapientia et Veritas<\/em> medal for meritorious service to the Polish science comes in three ranks \u2013 gold, silver, and bronze. It is presented to individuals, higher education institutions, foundations, research institutes, and associations that have significantly contributed to the Polish science. The medal is awarded by the Minister of Education and Science on his own initiative or at the request of relevant entities and institutions.
