Welcome to a world where humans meet technology. The Machine Intelligence and Digital Interaction<\/a> (MIDI) conference is one of the largest events dedicated to intelligent machines, and cooperation between humans and new technologies. The eleventh edition of the conference will be held on 12\u201314 December, 2023 as an online event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For eleven years now, the MIDI conference has inspired the development of new projects, innovative research initiatives, and the practical implementation of innovations to surprise the world of science. The event brings together ambitious researchers involved in future-oriented projects, and offers an effective platform for the exchange of experiences and best practices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The MIDI conference is a space in which science and innovation meet business. The event will present the latest methods, ultra-modern solutions, and innovative approaches to integrating people and smart technologies. MIDI\u2019s attendees are global experts: enthusiasts of AI and machine learning who share knowledge and practical tips on software engineering and people’s interaction with artificial cognitive systems. This year, the programme will be enriched with human aspects in space research.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The keynote speaker of this year\u2019s MIDI conference will be Dr. Katarzyna \u015aledziewska, Associate Professor at the University of Warsaw. The title of her presentation is Industry 4.0: HIT or MYTH?<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The agenda also includes special sessions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Exploring Interactions in Virtual Reality: Advancements, applications, and future directions<\/em> by Dr. Anna Sibilska-Mroziewicz and Dr. Jakub Mo\u017caryn (The Warsaw University of Technology),<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Securing the Future: Advances in cyber-physical systems and digital twins<\/em> by Dr Jakub Mo\u017caryn (the Warsaw University of Technology),<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Advancements in Digital Health: Bridging the gap between patient and diagnosis<\/em> by Dr. Rafa\u0142 J\u00f3\u017awiak and Dr. Piotr Sobecki (the National Information Processing Institute).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    There will be also space for Invited Talk. The speaker will be Dr. Artur Modli\u0144ski of the University of Lodz. The discussion will focus on techno-empowerment, cyborgization and autonomous artificial intelligence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Similarly to previous years, the authors of the two best articles will receive prizes of \u20ac500 each. The Professor Krzysztof Marasek Best Paper award is funded by National Information Processing Institute and the Polish\u2013Japanese Academy of Information Technology. The conference proceedings will be also published in cooperation with Springer<\/a> in the Lecture Notes in Networks and Systems Series, and selected submissions in Applied Sciences<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The eleventh MIDI conference is co-organised by the National Information Processing Institute (OPI PIB) \u2013 the Polish public sector’s leader in creating software systems for the national science and higher education system \u2013 the Systems Research Institute of the Polish Academy of\u00a0Sciences<\/a>, and two high-ranking universities: the Polish-Japanese Academy of Information Technology<\/a> and the Lodz University of Technology<\/a>. The minister of education and science has assumed honorary patronage over the conference. The Warsaw University of Technology<\/a>, including the Faculty of Mechatronic at the Warsaw University of Technology<\/a>, also assumes patronage. The partners of the MIDI conference are: the \u0141ukasiewicz Research Network<\/a>, the \u0141ukasiewicz Research Network \u2013\u00a0Institute of Innovative Technologies EMAG<\/a>, the UW’s DELab<\/a> and the Lodz ACM Chapter<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
